Here are some questions you may have...

What is the source of the recipes?

All of the recipes on this website are either original recipes, family recipes, or have been adapted and translated from recipes in books and online. Although many of the foods here are healthy, these are not foods for any specific diet. We included them because we like the taste.

What is the source of the ingredients?



Whenever possible, we use fresh, organic ingredients that are in season, although living at a northern latitude makes this difficult during certain times of the year.

What is the source of the photographs?
 

All the photographs are taken by Haluk and Marissa Kocaman. None of the food in the photographs has been doctored or altered to make it look more appetizing. The photographs you see are what the food looks like during the cooking process and as a prepared food, no cheating here.  (In other words, we don’t spray food with water to make it look shinier, don’t undercook vegetables to make them look brighter, etc.)

Who is the author of the articles?

Unless otherwise noted, Marissa Kocaman is the author of all the articles on the website. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with an interest in wellness, fitness, and food.
