Fried Köfte
These are a great alternative to burgers because they have great flavor and aren’t served on a bun. Be sure to use grass-fed ground beef with at least 15% fat. A 90/10 ratio will not have enough fat for frying or flavor. Serve with raw or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal.
Ingredients
-
1 pound ground beef
-
¼ cup grated onion
-
½ teaspoon salt (or ¼ teaspoon sea salt)
-
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
-
A pinch of dried thyme or one small bunch of chopped fresh parsley
-
A pinch of hot pepper flakes or powder
-
1 tablespoon of butter for frying
Instructions
-
Mix all the ingredients except butter in a large bowl.
